    The prototypes for these two units were originally GP-7s that ran off of an open bridge in the New Jersey Meadowlands back in the 1950s. The units were returned to EMD and rebuilt as GP-9s, thereby becoming the only two GP-9s on the CNJ roster.

    There were two prototypically-correct road #s - 1531 and 1532. The #1531 will be available as a powered unit, while the #1532 will be available as either a powered or unpowered unit.
